Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Leilani is positively loving Kindergarten.  She loves her teacher and her classmates and is NEVER ready for the school day to end.  This week was the first field trip.  The Kindergarten classes all went to the pumpkin patch at Cal Poly.
The pumpkin patch was ENORMOUS. There were pumpkins as far as the eye could see.  They let the kids in the gate and they all scattered in different directions.  Leilani just kept shrieking, "Look at this one!  Ooooh look at THIS one!"

Leilani and her teacher, Mrs. Nelson
Leilani and her boyfriend of the week, Sawyer.  (A funny coincidence.  Sawyer's mom was one of my students in the early 90's)  She and I both chaperoned the trip and were cracking up at the happy couple.  Leilani's Daddy was NOT amused!
The day before the trip Leilani was horrified to discover that she did not have any Halloween hairbows.  I offered to look for some at the store, but she told me, "Oh no Mama.  I need my bows to be custom."  What 5 year old refers to her accessories as CUSTOM?!  I've created a monster!!
She found the "perfect" pumpkin and insisted on carrying it herself.

Oh my gosh, her little pumpkin face when she's carrying the big pumpkin is just too precious! And mama, I want my hair bows custom, too. I mean, if I wore hair bows....
