Leilani's first haircut

Leilani has never had a haircut before.  We figured at age 4, with a braid that hung down to her bottom, it was time for a trim.

She liked having her hair washed in the special sink because she does NOT want to get her face wet. (Something we've learned all too well in swim class... more on THAT later)

I think the person who was the most excited about the day was Leilani's "Grandma Delma" who has been doing Mommy's hair since I was a kid.  She's been DYING to get her hands on Leilani's hair since the day she was born!

She only cut off an inch and a half or so, but it made a huge difference.

Lani was eyeing those scissors pretty closely!

Can you believe how long her hair is?!

Delma was all ready to dry and curl it, but Leilani said it was "too hot for that.  I'll just have a bun, thanks."  My little practical girl.
