swimming lessons

Leilani started off the summer not even being able to put her face under the water.  But now after 2 weeks, she's gotten much better.  Her hair is actually "wet" at the end of swim class!

Leilani's floating is a bit stiff.

Lani is supposed to be propelling herself through the water using the kickboard.  What's really happening is that she is batting her eyes at Cutie pie Teacher Josh and letting him pull her around the pool.  It's like he's her water transportation. 

The Grand Finale of swim class was the kids "jumping" off the diving board.

Some needed the teacher to pry their hands off the side and jump in with them.

While others were tossed in (There goes Rubie!)

Classes resume for the girls at the end of August.  Leilani has 2 months to catch up to Rubie if they want to be in the same class next time.  Rubie has NO FEAR of the water at all and is moving up to level 2.  Those who don't want to get their faces wet will remain at level 1.

Hopefully we can work with Leilani so the girls won't have to be split up.
